Makeup for the Morning after Prom

If you have as great a time at prom as I did this year, you may be a wee bit tired the next morning. After the Second Chance Prom, my husband and I slept in then woke up in a rush to check out of our hotel room.  Just because I’m running late doesn’t mean I don’t have time to touch up a little before heading out to a nice after-prom brunch.

Here are a few tips for looking classy when you’re tired and/or out of time:

  • Wash your face to rinse off the night and welcome the day; see Basic Skin Care 5 Steps.
  • Dab on a bit of moisturizer.
  • Make sure you have that concealer to cover tired looking dark circles.
  • A sweep of the brush with your mineral foundation does wonders for the sleepy face.
  • A little cheek color or bronzer goes a long way to give you a hint of color.
  • Eyeliner and mascara are eye essentials for when the sunglasses must come off.
  • One of the best tips is to wear a brighter than usual lipstick or gloss, as it will draw focus to your lips not eyes.
