I signed up to participate in the WordCount Blogathon 2010 in part to push me forward in adding information to this site. Taking our business to the web and offering some new ways to connect with people has been a little challenging. We really didn’t have a road map to take our business this direction, not knowing anyone who was really doing this with a business model like ours, and having all the stipulations that often come with working in a direct sales business model. We still have many things to add to the site, so we hope you will be patient and come along for the ride.
One of the things that has been rather perplexing is the thought of constantly coming up with new things to write about. After all, I do not think about skin care, makeup, etc. each and every waking moment of every day! In fact, once I’m ready for the day, I don’t spend much time with any other primping. I have numerous interests and responsibilities just as I’m sure you do! I often think of things I like to share with you, but since I can’t really think of how or why they would relate back to the beauty industry, I just skip it. They aren’t my area of expertise, and I’m not sure you’d care.
Today, it occurred to me that by limiting my writing to simply skincare, makeup, etc., it is not really a true reflection of who I am. One of the reasons I took my business to the internet was a way to connect with people in a convenient way and at times that were convenient. To further the “connection” Kathy and I will add some variety to our topics. Don’t they say that variety is the spice of life? Well, I’m going to rephrase that to variety is the beauty of life. Going forward, I’m going to include postings that are, “The Beauty of ….” I hope you find them interesting.
