As part of the WordCount Blogathon, today is Haiku day, intended to be a bit of a break. Michelle Rafter, leader of our great blogathon, shared with us that Haiku has made a comeback. Oh the things we can glean from Twitter!
Thank goodness Michelle offered a quick refresher coarse, because it has been a long time since I needed to come up with a Haiku poem. Being short on words is nothing I’m really known for! Haiku is a poem encapsulating one thought in three lines of approximately 17 syllables broken down as follows: 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables.
