The Beauty of Haiku

As part of the WordCount Blogathon, today is Haiku day, intended to be a bit of a break.  Michelle Rafter, leader of our great blogathon, shared with us that Haiku has made a comeback.  Oh the things we can glean from Twitter!

Thank goodness Michelle offered a quick refresher coarse, because it has been a long time since I needed to come up with a Haiku poem.  Being short on words is nothing I’m really known for!   Haiku is a poem encapsulating one thought in three lines of approximately 17 syllables broken down as follows: 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables.

Here is today’s blog post Haiku:

Beauty and knowledge
Enhancing lives of others
Paychecks of the heart

Feel free to jump in and share a Haiku of your own!
